Upton forestry recently completed a 5 year heathland restoration project on Upton Heath SSSI. The work was funded by both Natural England and Dorset Wildlife Trust of whom had a big input to the works.
We worked closely with both parties to ensure that the work was carried out to a high specification and to ensure that both the land features and protected wildlife were not damaged during the work process.
We removed a total of 3000 ton of timber which was recycled for biomass fuel saw log.
